- Add a Phone Number: The simplest way to
authenticate is by adding a phone number to your One
Healthcare ID.
It takes about 2 minutes.
Click to sign in, enter your One Healthcare ID, and
click "Manage My One Healthcare ID." Click
continue, then enter your password, and add your phone
number in the "Contact Information" section on
that page. Click to verify your phone number.
- Create a Pass Key: This integrates with your
computer's security (like Windows Hello). The PIN,
fingerprint, or facial recognition you use to access your
computer can also be used for Optum applications.
- Download an Authenticator: Use an authenticator app
on your phone to generate a login token for Optum
applications.
Urgent Action Required:
By March 26th 2025, you must have one of these
additional authentication methods in place. Without this, we
cannot validate your identity and you will temporarily lose
access to the application until we can verify you as the
licensed user.
Why This Matters: Security at Optum
is paramount. We need to ensure that only authorized users can
access our applications. This means verifying that the person using
the application is the one who purchased and was assigned the
subscription. This helps prevent unauthorized access and protects
sensitive information, including passwords.
